Hi friend,
Dinner has a way of showing up every day whether we feel prepared or not, doesn't it?
What I’ve noticed over the years through talking with other busy mom friends and noticing the complaints on social media is that meal planning is one of the biggest drains on mental energy in a home.
Not because it’s actually hard, but because most people were never given a simple way to think about it.
This is one area I’ve been steady in for a long time. Newly married. In a demanding tech role. Working full-time with kids. Now home full-time with three little ones.
The seasons have changed, but my system hasn’t.
Here’s the realization I’ve come to, both professionally and personally:
Meal planning doesn’t need to be complicated to work.
It needs to reduce decisions, not introduce new ones.
When dinner feels overwhelming, it’s rarely about cooking skill or motivation. It’s about decision fatigue. Too many choices. Too much starting from scratch. Not enough alignment with your real life.
That’s what I unpack in this week’s podcast episode — the exact meal planning framework I’ve used across every season. It’s practical, repeatable, and designed to hold up even when the day goes sideways, because I have those days too!
If this is an area that feels heavier than it should, you can listen here: Ep 14 | Simple Meal Planning for Busy Moms: A Low-Stress Weekly System That Actually Works
You don’t need perfect meals or endless variety.
You simply need a rhythm that frees up your time and attention for what matters most.
You've got this,
P.S. And if you have a mama friend who dreads the mealtime rush, feel free to forward this to her ♥️
