officially in the BER months

Hey friend,

Well, it's official — September is here even if it's literally going to be like 100 degrees here today. I do love the "BER" months. September, October, November, December. But if your calendar's already looking like mine, you know exactly what that means. We're about to be BUSY.

I mentioned last week that we're in a busy season over here, but I know that's not special to me. We're all busy. But for me personally, it's not really being busy that wears me out.

It's the deciding. Over and over again.

Breakfast. Whether today's a laundry day. What's for dinner — again. None of those decisions feel heavy on their own. BUT stack up enough of them, every single day, and that's exactly how you end up foggy and frazzled by 4pm without any one big thing actually going wrong.

So a while back, I started retiring some of those decisions. Made the call once and I just let it roll until it doesn't really work anymore.

That's this week's episode — Decision Fatigue for Moms: 7 Decisions I Stopped Making Every Day. And I get specific. Like, "my kids eat this same exact thing every single morning" specific.

Now hear me on this — I'm not handing you my list to copy. The seven things I share aren't an assignment. They're just there to get your wheels turning on one question: what are you re-deciding every single day that turns out the same almost every time?

Honestly, this isn't really about getting more time back. This season isn't going to slow down between now and January — like we know that. It's about freeing up a little of the mental space because you're already stretched thin.

Your challenge this week is a small one, like always: find one decision you keep making over and over, decide it once, and let it run for the next two weeks without touching it and see how much it helps.

Go retire one decision, friend.

Cheering you on,
