Hey friend,
Have you ever gotten to the end of a day and thought,
“I was busy all day… but I don’t actually know what I did?”
I've definitely had days like that.
I’d be awake for hours — kids fed, coffee reheated three times, toys stepped on — and somehow my to-do list hadn’t moved at all. By 9am, I already felt behind.
But my mornings have looked completely different the last year.
By the time the day really gets going, my Bible and prayer time is done, the kids have eaten, laundry’s started, the dishwasher’s empty, I've vacuumed, and the house feels… manageable.
Not because I became a morning person or found a magical productivity hack — but because I started habit stacking.
Instead of trying to “do more,” I started pairing small habits with things I was already doing anyway. One thing after the next. No thinking required.
With the New Year coming up, I know a lot of us are thinking about goals — but honestly, goals don’t stick without systems. And habit stacking is one of the simplest systems I’ve ever used as a mom.
That’s why this week’s podcast episode is all about Habit Stacking for Moms — what it is, why it works, and how to actually make it stick without overhauling your entire life.
As you head into the New Year, here’s your simple challenge:
Pick one small habit to stack onto something you already do every day. Just one. Start there.
If you listen, hit reply and tell me what habit you’re stacking — I’d love to hear it.
Encouragement for this week:
3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.
— Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
Heavenly Father, as we start a new year, please direct our steps. Help us to see areas where we can be more intentional and better stewards of our time and gifts to serve Your Kingdom.
